Our less fortunate children are falling far behind…   Children’s early years are critical for determining later academic success.  Poverty and hunger is harming our children’s cognitive development. The challenges of poverty, and the absence of parent guidance and involvement and often lack of parent literacy is some of the challenges our children are faced with which is impeding their progress in school. 

 

You have the power to boost our less fortunate children's learning potential by getting involved in Fred and Martie’s Library Project, simply by making books an integral part of their lives.   

 

In collecting books for Fred and Martie’s library project you will improve a less fortunate child’s basic speech and communication skills.  You will give them a gift of mastery of language, more logical thinking and enhanced concentration and discipline.  You will give then a solid head- start toward understanding grammar, spelling, and sentence structure.  Giving less fortunate children access to reading books will improve their education which is a fundamental solution to poverty.  

 

In supporting our library project you are not only enabling our less fortunate children to achieve academic success and fulfilment, you are giving them hope.  You are creating a future for our less fortunate children!
